The Knowledge Edge Reading Program focuses on the skill areas of phonics, sight vocabulary, functional vocabulary, comprehension, and oral reading for grades 1-8. Our tutors employ a wide variety of lessons and formats in order to provide reading help and cater to the individual learning style of each student. Depending on the student's age and grade level, their program may include many of the following reading skills:

High School Reading Program
Our high school reading program helps and challenges students in grades 9-12 to meet the rigorous English curriculum of high school, as well as prepare them for greater success on upcoming ACT and SAT examinations.
The curriculum focuses on vocabulary, inferencing, recognizing attitude, tone and timed readings. It draws on classical literature by Mary Shelly, Jane Austen, Sir Walter Scott, Tolstoy, Melville and Edgar Allan Poe.
Knowledge Edge students who have completed this program experience on average a 1.5 grade level improvement, while increasing their reading speed 80 words per minute.
